Fantasy Football: Week 1 Predictions, Lines & Fantasy Starts

Here's the moment we've all been waiting for! This week brings the return of Fantasy Football and NFL Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays. Lets start with a few of our favorite match ups and discuss betting lines, fantasy starts and win predictions.

Saints vs Vikings.

Super Saints will eradicate the Vikings.

Super Saints will eradicate the Vikings.

Now entering week 1 with major changes for both teams on both sides of the ball, I think this could be a high scoring event, just for the hell of it.  The New Orleans Saints enlisted Adrian Peterson, a former Viking would we know would like to give Minnesota the cold shoulder as he Brees(es) through his former teams front line. Partnered with Mark Ingram in the backfield who is coming off of an amazing 2016 Campaign and the masterful Drew Brees sending bullet passes over Xavier Rhodes helmet to Ted %&#+ing Ginn for the Touchdown. Sam Bradford saddles up with Adam Thielen across the slot beating the Saints CB to set up the perfect play action for Dalvin Cook (*ahem* AP 2.0) who takes it to the house for the second time in the 3rd Quarter. Sounds staged well stranger things have happened in week 1.

Prediction: Vikings 23, Saints 28    Vegas Lines: Minnesota -3.5 , New Orleans

Hot Picks for Fantasy:

QB: Drew Brees

RBs: Dalvin Cook, Adrian Peterson**, Mark Ingram

WRs: Stephon Diggs, Michael Thomas

Big Play Potential:  WR: Adam Thielen (MIN)**, WR Tedd Ginn (NO)**

Atlanta Falcons vs Chicago Bears

Revenge Tour Starts Now

Revenge Tour Starts Now

Jared: Still scarred from the crushing Superbowl loss to the New England Patriots, the Falcons will be opening up this season with a can of whoop ass on Jordan Howard and The Bears. These ATLiens don't have any love below for any teams this year so look out defense (whereever you are) the dirty birds are going bear hunting. With Mike Glennon slinging interceptions to every player not on his offense expect Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman to annihilate the bears on every run play, and Julio Jones to swoop in like the airborne Falcon he is. The Falcons Revenge Tour Starts NOW.

Hot Picks For Fantasy:

WR: Julio Jones, Kevin White

RB: Devonta Freeman, Jordan Howard & Tevin Coleman

Big Play Potential: WR Kendall Wright**

QB: Matt Ryan

Prediction: Falcons 34, Bears 14.   Vegas Lines: Atlanta at Chicago, Atl. -7, Atlanta

Jaguars vs Texans

Sigh Now, Sigh Later

Sigh Now, Sigh Later

Jared:  We have seen this story line so many times, we kinda know how it plays out already. We know Blake Bortles will throw an I-N-T in the NRG Stadium, we know that's coming right along with a 4th quarter rally from the Jags. Allen Robinson after practicing with Randy Moss this off season will bounce back, Deandre Hopkins will bounce back as well after receiving a major contract extension. These things are to be expected, so whats the difference maker? who's the outlier this season. Well, I can guarantee you it's going to be Leonard Fournette (and the Defense, some weeks) the Jags can run the ball now. Bortles may not be the best QB starter by any means but the less he throws the ball the more accurate he is. funny how that kind of makes sense. Think Denver, but in the AFC South. Jags will upset the Texans, sending Houston and Tom Savage back to the drawing board.

Predictions: Jags 24, Texans 23.

Vegas Lines: Jacksonville at Houston, Hou. -5, Houston

Hot Picks For Fantasy:

RB: Leonard Fournette, Lamar Miller

WR: Allen Robinson DeAndre Hopkins

Big Play Potential: WR Dede Westbrook (JAX)**& RB D.Foreman (HOU)**

Jaguars Defense. (against Tom Savage I'll take two please)

Houston minus 5.5

J Rosa's Prediction

If you remember anything about my pieces last year you know I hate giving up points. The Jags feel like that team that is always "one year" away but the truth of the matter is their QB play is dreadful. The Texans have a Superbowl caliber defense and I can see a lot of turnovers from Blake Bortles. Houston will come out the gates with a lot of energytrying to give that city something to cheer for in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

 Giants vs Cowboys

No Zeke, No Bueno.

No Zeke, No Bueno.

Even with the recent news of Zeke Elliott playing week one I am still sold on the Giants this week. The Giants were the only team to beat the Cowboys in the regular season last yearand they did it twice. It's a division game and they are always close. In tight match ups I always tend to lean towards points. Give me the G-MEN.

J Rosa's Betting Lines: Giants +4

J Rosa's Prediction: Giants

Jared's Prediction: Cowboys / -3

I mean its hard not to agree with Rosa on these picks, but we all know Zeke wants to barrel through a few defenders before serving his suspension. He has a lot of frustration to take out and since he's playing week 1 expect it to happen sooner than later. A healthy Dez Bryant only strengthen that chance so lets go cowboys for this one.

 Hot Picks For Fantasy:

OBJ, Zeke. Dez, Dak, Eli

Big play potential: TE Rhett Ellison**

Jets Vs Bills

ALL SEASON LONG

ALL SEASON LONG

This will more than likely be the only time you see me picking the Jets this year. The Jets will be horrible this year there is no mistaking that but the bills won't vastly better either. These are two teams on the rebuild so the fact that New York is getting 9.5points I will take that. Especially in week one when players will play hard and have that optimism of a hopeful season.  - J Rosa

You all should know already i hate the jets and no i don't see them winning anything but Losses to my New England Patriots so I'm going to roll with the Bills in this one, Tyrod & back up QB Peterman if necessary will pull it together to grind out a W.  - Jared

J Rosa's Lines: Jets + 9.5

Jared's Lines: Bills/-7

Hot Picks For Fantasy:

RB: B.Powell, L. McCoy

Big Play Potential:  WR Ardarius Stewart **

Both Kickers
