The Grinch Movie Review
“You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch. You really are A HIT”
Illumination entertainment brings us back to the cheerful town of Whoville with 2018’s “The Grinch”. The Dr. Seuss classic children’s book was originally published in 1957 with numerous adaptation created for the big screen; one being the 2000 Jim Carey hit. With Benedict Cumberbatch taken on the iconic character we get balance comedic timing and with deep emotional moments. Cumberbatch knocks it out the park bringing a fresh take to the cruel yet entertaining character.
Cumberbatch is joined by an all star cast including recording artist Pharrell Williams, SNL star Kenan Thompson, Parks and Recreations actress Rashida Jones and new comer Cameron Seely as Cindy Lou Who. Seely does an excellent job lending her voice to the pint size hero as she takes her secret christmas mission, meeting Santa Clause.
The flawless animation by the studio mixed with the upbeat new generation music will prove to delight both parents and children alike. “The Grinch”hits theaters November 9th and is the perfect family for the holiday season. One you won’t wanna miss.
