It’s finally here! Rosé weather!
While I’m good with drinking rosé all year, I know others prefer the warmer weather to indulge in its yummy pink goodness. Whether you’re like me and drink rosé year-round, or you wait till the heat beckons you, I have four spectacular pinks to get your summer started. And the best part, they are all $20 or under!
Let’s start with a sparkling wine, because the only thing more fun than pink, is pink with bubbles. Ruhlmann Schutz, Crémant d’Alsace Harmonie Rosé, from France, is a luscious, dry, wine, chockful of shortbread and strawberry notes. A very delicious sparkler at only $20.
Next up, Justin Central Coast Rosé 2018. This California wine is the liveliest rosé I’ve had to date. The flavors dance. Bright ripe, red fruit, excellent acidity. Was going to have a taste…one bottle later. Retailing for only $20, I know next time to buy two bottles.
A quick trip to Italy, or down the Italian section of your local store, will net you another lovely rosé, Rosé Del Borro 2018. Ripe, rich, cherry, strawberry, and watermelon notes make this beautiful rosé so easy to drink. At just under $20 this is a great wine to bring to your outdoor concerts.
The driest of my rosés, for this list, is another French wine, Domaine De Cala Coteaux Varois En Provence 2018. Stone fruit and watermelon notes, with a long, pronounced, citrus finish and lots of acidity define this elegant pale pink wine. Drinking at well above its price point of only $15.99, it’s a great rosé to stock up on.
