All across New York City parks are being reconstructed in low income areas like Lyons Square Park. Parks are being torn down and beautiful memories are being destroyed. The purpose is to build new parks which haven’t received any funding in the last 20 years. The film explains that the reconstruction itself isn’t the problem. The lack of funding for 20 years is the problem. In addition, the film highlights the potential of what is to come for this neighborhood after the reconstruction of the park.
