The Teaser Trailer to "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" is Here

Oh, this one has been brewing for a long time. Now there's only three more months to wait for the visual retelling of the unpleasant, despair-filled lives of the Baudelaire orphans. The teaser takes place in a film studio filled with referential props as author Lemony Snicket (played here by Seinfeld alum, Patrick Warburton) delivers the familiar meta and ironic verbiage of the books.

So in honor of a childhood literature series, this piece will now follow suit: The lengthy, austere, perilous journey of the Baudelaire orphans is so grim and heartbreaking that one should think no more of The Baudelaire Orphans and the unfortunate events that will follow them: like a malicious marriage, gargantuan pythons, and extremely wide windows. In fact, you should stop reading this piece now. Please, do not watch the trailer and most importantly, do not watch Emmy and Tony winner, Neil Patrick Harris take on the role of Count Olaf in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events on Friday, January the 13th on Netflix.

The poster is actually a fan-made work by adeptodemercurio. Good stuff.
